About the Role
Guest Service: Greet guests warmly, introduce yourself, and present menus. Provide detailed information on specials and answer questions regarding food preparation or ingredients.
Order Management: Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system and communicate specific dietary needs or allergies to the kitchen staff.
Service Delivery: Deliver orders promptly from the kitchen/bar to the correct tables, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
Table Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized dining area. Perform "silent service" by clearing empty plates, refilling drinks, and anticipating guest needs before they ask.
Financial Transactions: Prepare final bills, process payments accurately, and handle cash or credit transactions with integrity.
Teamwork: Collaborate with host staff, bartenders, and kitchen teams to ensure a smooth flow of service throughout the shift.
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse groups of people.
Stamina: Ability to remain on your feet for long periods and carry trays weighing up to 20 lbs.
Professionalism: A clean, professional appearance and a dedicated work ethic.
Flexibility: Availability to work a varying schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compliance: Must meet local age requirements for serving alcohol and possess (or be willing to obtain) necessary food handler certifications.
